Grace makes the difference between them and the general mass.
• The children of grace are comparatively few (Matt 7:14).
• He accumulates words to express the wide prevalence of the corruption, “all (literally, ‘the all:’ the whole of humanity) … together … there is none that doeth good, no not one.” Their ‘going aside’ or “away” (from God) stands in contrast to ‘seeking the Lord.’
• They are all together become filthy – literally, ‘become rancid’ [‎°aalach‎, Job 15:16].
• Suicidal blindness of the workers of iniquity in assailing the Lord’s people, and so bringing destruction on themselves from the Lord.
• Its describes the state of man and our understanding

• Doubt
• Uncertainties
• Sin
• Gossip
• Wickedness
• Unbelieves

• Today in Luke’s gospel Jesus comes along and stands among His disciples to connect to the again
And the disciples are “startled and terrified” verse 37 says.
Not wanting to waste any time Jesus leaps into re-assuring them so that He can get to what he wants to share.

• He shows them His hands and His feet and then eats a piece of fish in front of them. He doesn’t want them thinking they had imagined Him being there like some kind of ghost as He says in verse 39.
• Once He’s done what He can to settle the doubts and uncertainties He speaks and He clarifies.
Saying –“These are the words that I spoke to you while I was still with you that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.
• On this day Jesus comes to His disciples to make it abundantly clear and finally clear that He is the fulfillment, the completion and the consummation of God’s will and desire nothing more need or ought to be added. The Jews awaited tended to the fulfillment and Jesus is just this.
But.
• The Disciples aren’t quite sharp enough to put this all together.
So Jesus comes stands among them and as verse 45 says –
“Opened their minds to understand…”
• Jesus comes to His disciples to explain to open their minds to connect the dots in scripture so that they can see clearly and plainly that there is nothing else to wait on and anticipate. He is the all in all the fulfillment the perfect completion to which nothing can be added or taken away.
• In a nut shell this is the whole purpose of this visit with the disciples to make sure that they get that it’s all done God has spoken finally there isn’t another chapter in terms of His will and desire for His creation save of course the second coming.
AMEN

["post-3646","sermons","type-sermons","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","sermons-category-faith","sermons-tag-christ","sermons-tag-christ-open-our-minds","sermons-tag-jesus","sermons-speakers-alexander-a-agyare
"imic_sermons_video_mp4":"
"imic_sermons_add_video_mp4":"
["GET
