CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY: INFLUENCED BY CHRIST; SET FOR HIS GLORY<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A person influenced by Christ, is one who moves others onto Christ\/God\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n

Before we can influence others toward Christ \/godliness,<\/p>\n

we ourselves must be under Christ\/God\u2019s influence\u2014<\/p>\n

Seeking Christ\/God\u2019s direction,<\/p>\n

Obeying His impulses<\/p>\n

And being where we\u2019re supposed to be so God can use us.<\/p>\n

Note: If you are moving toward God, someone is probably following you.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A Christ\/godly influence Person:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Encourages a Closer Walk with God<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u201cBlessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.\u201d <\/em>Psalm 1:1\u20133<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Encourage wise choices\u2014encourage ladies to seek godly counsel, and be faithful to the Lord and church.<\/li>\n
    • Encourage \u201cGod-ward\u201d thinking\u2014remind others of God\u2019s love; weave Christ \/godly topics into conversations.<\/li>\n
    • Encourage Bible study and prayer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      1. Is a Need-filler<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        They Show Love<\/p>\n

        Being Deeply loved by someone gives you strength<\/p>\n

        Loving someone deeply gives you courage<\/p>\n

        have empathy and sympathy?<\/p>\n

        When you say you will pray for someone, don\u2019t fail to do it!<\/p>\n

        Influence grows when we show compassion. We must model compassion<\/p>\n

        Luke 10:37, \u201cAnd he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

        Genuine compassion powerfully affects<\/p>\n

        those who receive it,<\/p>\n

        those who give it,<\/p>\n

        those who observe it.<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Is Trustworthy<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Keep confidence.<\/p>\n

          Be careful about sharing news.<\/p>\n

          Be careful not to gossip.<\/p>\n

          Repeating facts can lead to gossip (James 3:6; Proverbs 26:20\u201322).<\/p>\n

            \n
          • Gossip = habitually retelling behind the scenes information<\/li>\n
          • Gossip = idle talk about others, regardless of fact<\/li>\n
          • Gossip = saying something about someone that you know he\/she wouldn\u2019t want said\u2014regardless of whether or not it is true<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Be intensely loyal, and always give others the benefit of the doubt.<\/p>\n

            1. Is a Real Example Motivation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                \n
              • In word \u2013 our words should build, not tear down<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                \u201cLet your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.\u201d<\/em> Colossians 4:6<\/p>\n

                \u201cFor in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.\u201d<\/em> James 3:2<\/p>\n

                \u201cLet no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.\u201d<\/em> Ephesians 4:29<\/p>\n

                • In conversation = lifestyle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  \u201cOnly let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;\u201d<\/em> Philippians 1:27<\/p>\n

                  • In charity = compassion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    Do you love enough to take action?<\/p>\n

                      \n
                    1. Is a Real Example of Fortitude<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      Is the Strength of mind that enables a person to encounter danger or bear pain or adversity with courage<\/strong><\/p>\n

                        \n
                      • The spirit of Can do<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        (\u201cI can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me\u201d<\/em> (Philippians 4:8-13)<\/p>\n

                        \u201cHe that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.\u201d<\/em> Proverbs 25:28\u2019<\/p>\n

                        1. Is a Real Example of Faith<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                            \n
                          • In faith<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                            \u201cSo then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.\u201d<\/em> Romans 10:17<\/p>\n

                              \n
                            1. The Roman officer \u2013 Matthew 8:5-13<\/strong> “When Jesus returned … a Roman officer came and pleaded with him … Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.” But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed … When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following Him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!<\/li>\n
                            2. The woman with an issue of blood \u2013 Mark 5:25-34<\/strong><\/li>\n
                            3. The Gentile woman \u2013 Matthew 15:21-28<\/strong><\/li>\n
                            4. Is a Real Example of Purity<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                              7. In purity<\/strong><\/p>\n

                              \u201cFinally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.\u201d<\/em> Philippians 4:8<\/p>\n

                              1. Is a Real Example of No retreat no Surrender<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                2 Corinthians 4:16-18<\/strong><\/p>\n

                                16\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17\u00a0<\/sup>For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18\u00a0<\/sup>So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.<\/p>\n
