The National Secretariat of the Young People's Guild of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana with support from the National Youth Evangelism Coordinating Committee (ECC) have successfully launched the 2021 Northern Youth Outreach on Sunday, 16th May, 2021 at the Grace Congregation, Akuapem Akropong.
The NYO is an evangelistic initiative by the youth wing towards achieving the church's growth agenda, Vision 1.5.
Speaking on the need for the Northern Youth Outreach, the General Secretary of the YPG, Bro. Francis Frimpong, highlighted the challenge of the Upper Presbytery and the need for a revival. He recounted how mission work and church growth has almost stalled.
The Minister-In-Charge of the Grace Congregation, Rev. Nathaniel Kingsley Entsei, who launched the NYO, exhorted members on "The Missionary Church" and encouraged all to support the work of evangelism in the Church towards the achievement of vision 1.5.
This year's outreach, which is under theme, "Fullness of life in Christ Jesus (John 10:10) is scheduled to take place from 24th to 30th May, 2021 in the Sissala Mission Field, Tumu (Upper Presbytery). About 50 missionaries from across the country will be involved in this great harvest of souls.
The National Secretariat is calling for support both in cash and in kind to make the mission a great success.
The Omanhene of the Akuapem Traditional Area, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, who was present at the launch, donated GH₵ 1,000 to support the NYO.
